TRUE SGNL – Mama Over Molly

Inside the Club, Still Yourself

TRUE SGNL sets “Mama Over Molly” in the pressure of an underground club, where the room’s energy offers its own kind of release. Heavy bass, tight drums and clipped vocal elements give the UK garage and speed-garage track its physical framework. Its central idea is to stay present without surrendering a sense of self, finding release while keeping hold of personal choice.

The independent project describes using AI for synth and vocal stems and emastered.com for mastering, combining those tools with traditional production across electronic styles. Here, that experimentation serves a specific scene: darkness, close bodies and the pull of the rhythm. The song locates exhilaration in the music and connection around it, turning a familiar nightlife setting towards the choice to remain grounded within the rush.

SLAPPER – Look at Me

Three Mixes Trace the Distance Between People

“Look at Me” follows the strange distance that can remain between two people standing close. In SLAPPER’s single, that feeling sits against the expressive synths of the 1980s, the lift of ’90s Eurodance and the charge of 2000s electro. Claudiu-Gabriel Tache started SLAPPER in Bucharest in 1998 as a solo project, bringing a producer’s ear and a DJ’s sense of movement to the music.

The three mixes give that longing different settings. The Original Mix has the fullest span, the Radio Edit shortens the introduction and accompanies the official video, and the 3AM Mix draws the song into darker territory. Across those versions, a plea to be seen gradually makes room for a more private question about how we see ourselves, especially when the person beside us seems far away.
